Registered Veterinary Nurse

Midleton, Cork, Ireland Full Time
Compensation: €15 Hourly
Salary progression dependent on experience

Registered Veterinary Nurse – 4 Day Week | Mill Road Vets, Midleton

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, independent small animal practice in Midleton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate veterinary nurse looking for a supportive environment in which to develop their skills, while also gaining exposure to a referral setting.

The role

  • 32 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9.30am–6pm
  • Four-day working week – one weekday off every week
  • No evenings, nights or weekend work
  • Salary from €15.00 per hour DOE
  • Annual leave in line with statutory entitlement
  • VDS & VCI paid
  • CPD allowance and paid CPD days

What makes us different?

As well as our first-opinion small animal work, Mill Road Vets is also home to Peteyevet, a veterinary ophthalmology referral service.

This means our nursing team has the opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of ophthalmic cases and procedures alongside their general nursing duties. It could be particularly appealing to someone with an interest in developing their knowledge and skills in veterinary ophthalmology.

We are a small, friendly team and pride ourselves on providing a high standard of patient care while maintaining a positive and supportive working environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified and registered veterinary nurse, or newly qualified and awaiting registration
  • Kind, enthusiastic and reliable
  • A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Keen to learn and develop their nursing skills

New graduates are very welcome to apply. Experience in ophthalmology is not required – training and support will be provided.

If you’re looking for a veterinary nursing role with a genuine four-day working week, no weekends or nights, and the opportunity to gain experience in both first-opinion practice and veterinary ophthalmology, we’d love to hear from you.
