Hours:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00pm - 12:00am
  • Friday: 2:00pm - 12:00am
  • Saturday: 7:00pm - 12:00am

Join Our Out of Hours Team

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant (ACA) to join our busy Out of Hours service. This role would be ideal for a Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) looking to gain valuable emergency and critical care experience, or a qualified ACA seeking part-time evening work.

Working alongside one veterinary surgeon and two registered veterinary nurses, you will play an important role in supporting patient care during our busiest out of hours periods.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the veterinary and nursing team with patient care
  • Managing diaries and client communication
  • Preparing and maintaining hospital areas
  • Assisting with inpatient husbandry and monitoring
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
  • Stock management and equipment preparation
  • Providing compassionate care to patients and support to the clinical team

What We're Looking For

  • ACA qualification or current SVN training
  • Passion for animal welfare and patient care
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, organised and proactive approach
  • Previous veterinary practice experience is desirable but not essential
