Locum Veterinary Surgeon (GP or ECC) - (24 hour Hospital), Village Vets Dundrum, South Dublin

Reports to: Lead Vet

Rate: €50 - €70 per hour depending on shift type

We're expanding our locum panel to support both General Practice (GP) and Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) services.

About the Role

• Deliver high-quality veterinary care in consultations and routine surgery
• Manage a varied caseload from initial workup through to treatment and follow-up, as appropriate to the shift
• Work closely with a supportive network of vets, nurses, and support staff across clinics
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate client and patient experience
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure effective case handovers

About You

• Veterinary experience in small animal practice
• VCI registered (or eligible)
• Confident in consultations, routine surgery, and general case management
• Proactive, reliable, and able to integrate quickly into different teams
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Committed to high standards of patient care
