Veterinary Nurse

Cu Chulainn Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our very busy hospital in Tralee , County Kerry . We are a 100% small animal practice with a very broad caseload . We have in house Laboratory , Ultrasound , X ray Machine , ample kennel space with separate ICU , grooming facilities. Our nurses assist our vets with a variety of procedures / cases / patients and are very much encouraged to take on responsibility in their respective nursing roles . Our nurses rotate in clinic every week , one day you will be on kennels , the next on surgery or else a floating role between hospital and prep room .

Our hospital is a teaching facility , in co ordination with MTU and the Veterinary Council . This teaching function is a role we take pride in , encouraging the next generation of veterinary nursing graduates.

Some experience for the role would be preferable , but we encourage all interested parties , including new graduates to contact us .

We offer a 4 day rota with 1 in 4 Saturdays ( short day) . Wages are competitive and commensurate with experience. VCI & VDS paid , CPD encouraged and funded .
