Compensation: €35,000 to €40,000 Annually

Location:  Douglas
Reports to: Head Nurse

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week

About the Role

This is an ideal opportunity for an orthopaedic veterinary nurse to support shaping the future of the service in your clinic and deliver outstanding patient care within a progressive and encouraging environment.

  • You’ll be involved in theatre nursing, anaesthesia monitoring, post-operative care, and rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients
  • You'll administer treatments (e.g. injections, medication, fluid therapy, dressing, first aid, euthanasia) as directed by the veterinary surgeon and where permitted, undertake minor surgical procedure
  • You’ll play a key part in client communication, helping owners understand treatment plans and aftercare, while working closely with the wider team to provide a compassionate and professional service
  • The role also includes supporting consultations, maintaining high clinical standards, and ensuring a smooth patient journey from admission to discharge

About You

  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse (VCI registered or eligible)
  • Experience or strong interest in orthopaedics
  • Excellent patient care and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to thrive in a busy clinical environment
  • VCI Registered nurse with 3+ years of Orthopaedic Experience Essential.
  • A strong interest in working within a progressive, team‑focused practice
  • Excellent communicator with strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Confident in clinical decision‑making and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Professional, well‑presented, self‑motivated, and trustworthy in all aspects of veterinary nursing
  • Previous small‑animal practice experience
  • Desirable- further VN training/qualifications
