Part Time Veterinary Surgeon for Independent Clinic – Small Animal

Roundwood Veterinary Practice is growing!

We are in search of a part-time companion animal veterinary surgeon to join our existing team of 2 vets, 1 nurse, and 3 support staff. We are a well established independent practice located just outside the beautiful Roundwood village in County Wicklow.

We are a modern, progressive practice with on-site ultrasound, x-ray, Idexx in-house analyser suite, and dedicated surgical theatre. We are a silver accredited iCatCare Cat Friendly Clinic, with a dedicated cat reception, consult room, and hospitalization ward. We are the affiliate practice of Ireland’s first pet palliative and hospice care service, and this year launched the Pawsible Care Fund, a joint project offering financial assistance for pets in need of emergency medical treatment or at home end-of-life care.

The ideal candidate has a passion for providing excellent first opinion care both to pets and their families, with interest in all aspects including consulting, surgery, and dentistry. All applicants will be considered as support is available from two senior vets including one cert holder, though some experience is preferred as at least some sole charge duties will eventually be required. You must be registered or eligible to register with the VCI.

Part time role: Approximately 25+ hours per week, regular Saturday clinics butrota is negotiable. No OOH duties. As we are a small practice with a small team, flexibility is essential.
