Urban Vets

Position Still Available - Join the Nursing Team at Urban Vets Adamstown (Lucan)

Dublin, Ireland Full Time
Compensation: €31,000 to €35,000 Annually

We are currently looking for a nurse to join the team in Urban Vets Adamstown!

Urban Vets Adamstown is an independently owned veterinary practice, which opened in April 2024. Adamstown is a fast growing and vibrant suburb of Dublin, just besides Lucan on the Dublin-Kildare border. The practice is situated in the new town centre, just opposite Adamstown train station. Since we opened, we've been very successful in attracting new clients, and we are now very much embedded in the local community.

Our clinic is state of the art and purpose built, with a dedicated operating theatre, imaging room, separate dog and cat wards and consult rooms, dental x-ray, well-equipped lab and a lovely staff room. We prioritise excellent patient care and client communication, all while creating a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment for our team.

Your job will include helping out in all aspects of the running the clinic, from nurse consults, to anaesthetics and in patient care. We have daily rounds and weekly team meetings. Our vets have 30 minute consults, so these rarely run late. Overtime is a rarity and always given back ASAP.

The ideal candidate…

  • Ideally you’ll have 2+ years of experience, but this is not a necessity, so if you tick the other boxes we’d still love to hear from you
  • You’ll have bags of enthusiasm, empathy and a positive attitude.
  • You’ll be nice to us, our clients and our patients.
  • You'll embrace our clinic's values of exceptional care and a welcoming environment
  • You’ll be ambitious, friendly, and hard working... but have fun too!
  • A sense of adventure and a good sense of humour would be good

What we offer

  • Salary of 31-42k depending on experience
  • Fun and enjoyable working environment
  • Coffee. The good sort.
  • Endless opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • No Sundays, bank holidays or out of hours
  • Paid VCI and VDS fees
  • Generous CPD contribution
  • Gym membership contribution
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Pension contribution
  • Maternity pay
  • Proactive staff wellness initiatives such as our employee assistance program and Headspace app subscription, team building events, a paid weekend away every April, and plenty of time for coffee/tea breaks during the working day.

If you feel like we could be the clinic for you we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and cover letter to Heather, our clinical director.
